Mumbai, city of dreams and reels! Vaibhavi Joshi was born in this promising city, on July 16, 1995 to Bharat and Aasha Joshi. Her father Bharat Joshi was running his own business now retired .Through his first love was music he decided to go into business. Vaibhavi was one of the youngest of the four daughters in this family.
Government school Shailendra and BMM from Saraf college was where she completed her education. Her role model was her father, as for most daughters.
When it all began
In the year 2016 while she was doing her college she used to attend dance classes. The dance class was run by choreographer who was also associated with Salman Khan. Out of the blue she got a chance to give audition and was selected for her first advertisement break. She never had acting or modeling on her agenda. She wanted to pursue wildlife photography. However, after landing work it was not easy to convince her family, as they were apprehensive for her getting into showbiz. Her elder sister played savior and convinced the family and also ensured she would accompany Vaibhavi to most auditions.
Childhood pranks of pretending to be sick and getting away with it was probably sparks of her acting ability. She would also mute the actual actors and act the frame in her own way – a child’s passion with deep shades for the love of acting.
The ball gets rolling!
After her first advertisement work she got few more modeling assignments and also a big offer of lead role in a South Indian movie. She is lucky that in short span she got to do many projects for modeling, films and serials, cameos and lead roles. Her roles played were her ticket and strongest references. Vaibhavi never fell short of work and hence never ever thought of quitting or changing industry.
She loves what she does and acting is prioritized accordingly. She loves to explore new places and thanks to her career she gets to travel extensively. Vaibhavi loves the south of India and was also part of big projects/ movies in the south including “Vajra Kavach Dhara Govinda”
Vaibhavi Joshi has done many albums and few film for the Punjab Industry too, including ” Raduaa“. During this project she got chances to explore the amazing culture of Punjab and visit places of interest. Some of her projects thee were “Meena Bazar”, “Heart Attack” to name a few.
Vaibhavi Joshi got an award for her super hit song “Mai Aauna” at the music festival, Chandigarh. This number also garnered 100M views. She is a good dancer and she did one album in Kannada for Ganesha.
Challenge in every corner
The glamour industry world over has challenges that are niche. Like all industries the struggle is part of the journey. Vaibhavi Joshi also had a bad experience of a fake audition, but instead of keeping quite she ensured they were reported to the cops. Besides, she also made it a point at giving a helping hand to her contemporaries who are in a tight spot. Sharing a bad experience or story is the only way to help and protect others who would fall into the same trap.
Hobbies – mind needs it!
Her hobbies include wildlife photography, traveling, reading and Vaibhavi also has a spiritual side to her. Acting can be chiseled with courses etc. but it has to come from within and in Vaibhavi’s case, she did theater with no formal training. Self-confidence and inclination to learn and not getting jitters were her plus points. She is one of those who work better under pressure and in a way works like a buoy, lifting the spirits of others around.
Learning never stops
In the process of learning about camera angles she also ended up learning other technical nuances, since she was not from this background. Working on her fitness levels to shed weight and then give auditions was something she knew had to be done and she did it keeping her mind positive in every way.
She worked with Puri Jagannath, and many other famous names without being aware of their stature until she came back and understood their outstanding credentials online. Not being aware at times brings out the best in you, especially if the opposite person is very famous and well known.
Way forward …
Vaibhavi Joshi intents to be an influencer who wants to bring about a positive change in society. Her philosophy of conveying truth, good psychology, spirituality and positivity is what works best. She is a vegetarian and refrains from being around people who emit invidious auras and negative mindsets.
