Vrunda Nathwani was born and brought up in Rajkot. A millennial in every way, she knew her mind and pursued it in full earnest. Her love was the stage and related roles, be it in front of the stage or behind. Vrunda is blessed by parents who always supported her to pursue her career in this field. Her mother is the key player behind her, she is the one who always forced Vrunda to participate in all extracurricular activities. Vrunda has a long list of achievements in terms of awards, honors and projects list because of her passion and support of parents.
Vrunda has directed dance dramas and one-act plays. The acting bug within her, she acted in approximately 200 street plays. Street plays are a great way, world over to convey a message of mostly socio-economic nature. These street plays reach the target audience directly and can at once gauge their views almost immediately.
Full-length dramas that go on for an hour or more are even more demanding in every way. Vrunda has more than ten full-length dramas to her credit and more than eight one-act plays. Mono acts need the focus exponentially higher since the audience will watch and concentrate on just that actor on the stage. Vrunda has accomplished the feat of doing more than thirty such Mono act plays. The best actress award in 2012 for an open Rajkot one-act drama competition.
From the years 2011 onwards she has pocketed plenty of prestigious awards. Poem writing at the national level, international awards for poetry in Gujarati to name a few. Poetry, creative drawing, performing arts and many more certificates and awards at various stages in Rajkot and elsewhere. Awards and accolades are the fuel that ignites the passion – be it writing, painting, acting or just any other creativity. Vrunda has been lucky and fortunate to have landed on multiple platforms and recognized for her good work. Many first from 2010 to 2014 for acting, writing, and competitions that test one’s skills is to the credit of Vrunda.
The big screen is indeed the most alluring for an actor. Vrunda has done advertisement films in Gujarati, strategic character roles in Hindi and Gujarati and web series and short films in Hindi and Gujarati. Short films and web series having caught up in our country, gives the opportunity to tap great talent from every nook and corner.
Having the gift of the gab, her oratory skills are perfect and that has helped her conduct and manage annual functions in schools and colleges, corporate events, wedding compering and advertising related events. A known name in these circles, she hopes to widen this network further. Presently Vrunda is working with regional and Bollywood movies in character roles.
Sharing knowledge with others – the best form is teaching. V Dramatics is an academy founded by Vrunda and into the coaching and training skills of aspiring young actors. Nuances of the stage and movies, expressions and emotive tricks go a long way in delivering the full potential of a role.
