Center stage – Child to Adult
Even as a child the seed of performing arts was growing within in Maulik. He was the one who would entertain guests at home, take part in society events and he had a flair for mimicry. He loved playing the tabla too. Hence it was not surprising when he chose this field as a career. He worked backstage helping artists in plays. In the year 2004 he got his first break as an artist in a play / drama. This was his first step onto amateur theatre.
Once the ball was set rolling he did commercial plays, street plays, theatres, drama and took up multiple roles on stage. He was good and had a good sense of timing in comic characters. However, he tried his hand at other roles too as he did not want to be typecast. Fortunately work kept flowing on the acting front and on one such occasion, a big name in the movie industry came up to him and told him “I am looking for you to work in my one project for comedy role”. That was a huge moment for Maulik.
Since 2015, he is working with radio station 93.5 Red FM as an RJ ( character RJ). He is managing a special show titled ” Filmi Dayro ” Broadcast at Surat, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, and Baroda.

Some of the movies he was part of were Premji: Rise of a warrior, Romance complicated, Vitamin she, Chhuti jase chhakka, Montu ni Bittu and Hellaro to name a few. He loved the script and he did it because of his passion for good work, stories and the right platform.
Struggle on the chart
Struggles and Challenges is another facet of life and its share is existent in everyone’s life. Maulik Nayak too had his ups and downs. He would travel between Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad to save time. There were days when he waited the whole night for transport and had his own challenges of missing meals, lack of sleep etc. Late night and early morning shoot schedules do not allow most artists to lead a normal life and the schedule changes can be very daunting.
Sometime the going got very tough and Maulik had to battle some health issues which forced him to be out of action. It was upsetting and unsettling on the career front. However he bounced back with a good comeback. Support of his friends and family was a blessing during this phase. He is blessed to have them around.
