Minerva Das, a versatile, diligent and extremely talented woman, who justified the fact “Educated Women are the Empowered Women.” An academician, pageant winner and model, she has done incredible work in all the fields. Struggles are meant to make you strong, that’s what her story will prove, as she shifts her life from an unconfident child to a confident teacher & model.
Early Years and Education
Minerva was born and brought up with her siblings in Bhubneshwar. Both of her parents were into Government jobs. Being a neglected child, Minerva always felt alone while growing up. But she never gave up and fought all the darkness she faced. Being studious and a keen learner, she did PGDM & MBA. After clearing NTA-NET with a good all India rank she chose to become a Teacher – source of light & direction (education) for many.
She was an NCC candidate and got certification in it. She was also part of RDC camp & represented Orissa at the national level in Aero Modelling.
Marriage and Career
She completed her MBA after getting married. She had worked with MNC’s before as she took a break of 3 years to empower her personal life.
Struggling with low-confidence and anxieties of childhood, Minerva came out to shine like a diamond.
Silver Lining in Dark Cloud
After various cerebral turmoil and emotional battle, she made her come back into her professional life. She decided to explore endless possibilities for what she can make out of her life. she bagged on the position of associate with IIMA. She cleared her NTA-NET exam.
She was doing great in her profession when she thought to challenge her introvert, low confident personality as she participated in Mrs Fabb Ahmedabad, 2018.
Though she didn’t get the crown, she achieved confidence & self-belief. As it’s said “You never know until you try” her journey let her explore herself. Then she decided to do it again and participated in Mrs Chennai, 2019 & Mrs India, 2019.
Her hard work paid off as she won the state crown at “Mrs India” “Mrs Tamil Nadu 2019”. She was finalist in Mrs Chennai. She soon entered the industry, walked and modelled for various brands.
After leaving her job with IIM-A that was difficult but she left with heavy heart, she decided moved forward with more courage. Creating opportunities for herself, she joined Unacademy to follow her passion for teaching and started giving free lectures on competitive exams. Along with that, Minerva Das started working as a guest lecturer with various B-Schools.
When asked about her motivation behind her success, she says “After struggling in childhood with rejections, neglects and low-esteem, I always wanted to prove myself. Which started as a passion, soon turned out to be the purpose of my life.” Adding to this, she said, “I want to help people to make best out of their life because If I can, then anyone can.”She owes few people who guided her to be greatest strength and inspiration to build a life that she lives now.
Sharing Love & Kindness
Minerva Das is an avid believer in doing good. Being a warrior for whole life, she wishes to work towards turning lives better. She has volunteered for various social causes and looks forward to this more aggressively.
To name some, she has volunteered at Teach to Reach, smile project IIMA, as COVID ambassador, Red Cross Society and blood donations at DLF garden city Chennai, plantation at Safal Parisar Society, Ahmedabad & walked for the cause of cancer at AAL ADAI.
Plans for brighter Future
After accomplishing so much, she does not want to stop her development. She is looking forward to pursuing her doctorate in the next 5 years and wish to touch the lives of more students with her wisdom.
As she believes, ‘Teaching is like providing direction to this young generation. Doing this she is doing her part of serving to the country and the society.’
With a handful of projects, she will be pursuing her career as model and keep working for various projects for the social cause.
