If you live in the past, you live in guilt and if you live in future then you will be living in worries. So now is time to live the real moment. This timeless piece of knowledge is still true till date for those who have gone through it. Entrepreneur, Influencer, Activist, Fundraiser, Vanitaa Rawat, is one of them. Her journey to become a NLP practitioner and Life Coach is very inspirational. Her message to her viewers is every bad phase shall pass if you stay cool, calm and positive.
Early years and Education
Vanitaa was born on August 15, 1979 in Mumbai. Vanitaa’s childhood was spent in poverty. Her father passed away when she was only 9 months old and her elder brother was just 13 years old. Her mother, an illiterate woman from the hills of Uttarakhand struggled to raise six children by herself but she decided to give them good education. Her mom is her idol, support system, motivation and only god like human being. Along with her mother, her elder sister has also taught her many life lessons like looking beyond the obvious and to think bigger and out of the box. All of Vanitaa’s siblings worked very hard to help her mother in small age by doing chores like milk delivery, newspaper delivery, taking tuitions. But that all struggle and hardship has united them and made the family’s bond stronger.
Vanitaa’s schooling depended on NGOs, trust and individual’s charity. She completed her graduation in political science and economics and then she joined a career in the telemarketing field as an executive. She became successful in her career and moved to different roles like Team coach, Team leader, Assistant manager, Manager and finally became Operations Manager. In 13 years of her career she had worked with multinational banks like JP Morgan, Chase Barclays and last with Bank of America.
Vanitaa is married to Polly Besania who is Parsi and 10 years younger than her. They first met in 2009, dated for two and half years and then got married in 2011. She is blessed with a daughter who is seven years old in recent times.
The beginning of her journey
When working as team coach, she realized that coaching people came naturally to her. Over the period of time she realized that she was transmitting certain kinds of vibes and also she got the same response from the people. She has learned NLP technique and coaching with Dr. Ram Verma. One day she was invited by SD Jain College to judge the extempore competition of the college annual festival. Firstly, Vanitaa was surprised about her popularity and how people reached her. Then she started receiving regular invites and that is how it all started.
Moving on the Journey
Apart from NLP, when Brands started to invest money and time on her as a good content creator or influencer then she realized that she was doing well in her life. Her area of work started spreading across coaching kids and adults on various shades of life, to brand collaborations. She now has a distinct identity and reputation as a style icon and influencer in Surat and all over Gujarat. Vanitaa is thus a big name in the glamour industry. She has not only a charming personality but with her speaking skills, innovative ideas and concerns, she continues to contribute to social work.
She is inspiring many women to live life on their own terms. She has received many awards with few of them like – Awarded with FMBAF, global Excellence Award 2021 for Human Excellence and Best Mom Influencer of digital media, Featured on a talk show called a techiMoms curated by girl in neighbour, Collaboration with brand age media on their talk show on power of body language, Addressed 600 plus students of SD Jain college on topic of ‘Power of you’, Global peace Excellence Award 2020 for brand influencer and many more.
She did lots of charity and donation work, fundraising for orphanages and old age homes and is working for women empowerment. During covid, she was also affected badly but she learnt from this hard time and kept herself calm, cool and positive. She started a program called Via Vanitaa Rawat through which she gave massage that this shall too pass so be hopeful and be positive. In this program she told motivational stories and communicated with people. Via Vanitaa Rawat has been a great hit in terms of population around and got lots of appreciation.
Struggles and hindrances
When she moved to Surat, initially she had to face a lot of challenges. Being from Mumbai, she had a different approach to respond when she communicated with the people. She was treated like an outsider as she didn’t know the local language. But gradually she learned Gujarati and mixed with the locals. She is extremely vibrant, outgoing and very outright to speak her mind. So sometimes she was criticized badly and people discredited her work as they doubted her.
What’s in the future?
Vanitaa believes in living in the present and does not have any plans for the future. She wants to be happy and satisfied with whatever she has in the future.
