Motivation is an aspect of the lives of everyone that needs to be present at every stage. Today, the world is a tug of war with regard to competition and pressure to excel. Mediocrity has no place it seems. The truth however is – each one of us has our own special talents and a motivator just helps us tap this potential.
Dr. Himanshu Buch was born and brought up in East Africa. Having completed his schooling there he shifted to India. Education completed in the year 1973, he took up a career in sales and plunged into the sales field. Over a period he achieved a niche in sales and put in two decades in consumer durables and non-durables.
A passion within him, training and empowering people got him to quit his sales job and take up public speaking as a motivational speaker and counselor. He had met a speaker from the US, who guided him and in a way motivated him. He was given to understand that if you need to speak for seven hours you should be prepared to read for at least 700 hours. Reading is a connection between the book and the reader – the information that the mind absorbs with reading can never be matched. Dr. Buch took that very seriously and became a voracious reader. Reading literally changed his life.
His interests in life topics and issues relating to every day got him to read and listen to speakers. Osho, who inspired and motivated many around the world influenced him as well. He became a follower of Osho. Having strong principles and clarity on life ignited his passion to read on topics that helped him speak in the capacity of a motivational speaker, counselor, and coach.
A few years back the platform of motivational speaker/counselor or life coach was unheard of. In his pursuit to change lives, he made all the effort to bring these services to the people who needed it with the sole intention of helping and guiding. Those were tough times; however, he feels that struggles are what helps fuel the focus and it is to be treated as a motivational tool when the going gets rough. Indeed a very positive angle to see things in.
Dr. Buch has done his Ph.D. in Meta Physical Science. An avid reader he has read over 2200 management books and had done over 3500 workshops with around 665 companies of multiple industries. Employees of these companies, over 7.5 lacs have taken back knowledge that comes with interaction at that level. A motivational speaker like Dr. Himanshu Buch impacts the persona a great deal and the throwback is immense
Dr. Buch today runs the Zen Institute of Management – rightly called ‘ Gym for the Brain’ . Every member at ZEN first trains themselves with an earnest and with humble intentions to share ideas absorbed from management and spiritual Gurus. Sharing knowledge is another way to reaching out to students, employees at every level, couples and last but not the least senior citizen. Enhancing professional and personal life, with skills, that never let them lag behind the rest of the world.
With the energy levels he has and the inclination to touch lives in his unique way, Dr. Buch is more than intellect. He is creative and a stage performer. Plays, mimicry and much more. Humor in life just makes it easy and a pleasure from every angle. He follows this mantra and ensures he presents his views in a manner which is not run of the mill, but different. When there exists a degree of uniqueness the audience is hooked on for a longer time. Lessons with a flavor of a few laughs never harm. Whatever he does he puts in his best, the reason for him to win the national best actor award for the years 1979, 1981 and 1983.
Dr. Buch is widely traveled and has conducted seminars in 28 states and 29 countries around the world. He has over 42000 hours of training under his belt. Indeed a marvelous feat. The number of people who have benefitted from these hours of him on the podium would be exponentially massive.
While as mentioned each one of us needs a teacher, coach, mentor or guru to guide – much like a flashlight that never lets you get lost in the journey on the highway of life. A mentor is like a grip bar that never lets you slip or fall.
- To sum Dr. Himanshu Buch’s thoughts:
- Don’t run a race, choose the race and compete
- Compare never, be a sportsman ….whatever the seat
- Keep your mind open and remain a student life long
- Learning has no age, life a challenge that comes with right and wrong
- A mentor guides you, showing you the way
- A guiding light that will always beside you stay!
