Bollywood actor, Mohit Nain is one of them. He had to endure a lot of hurdles and be patient for a long time to become an actor. By nature, he is very strong willed, hardworking, persistent, and logical. His message for youngsters who wants to pursue a career in the acting field is to work hard, give their full dedication, be passionate, and be patient without thinking about end results.
Early years and Education
Mohit was born on 11th January in Rohtak, Haryana. His father, Mr. Satyawan Nain is an Inspector of Police in Haryana while his mother, Nirmala Nain, is a homemaker. Mohit completed his schooling in Rohtak, Haryana, and College in Bhivani. He was a medical student and did a diploma in the medical field. However, he was more interested in drama and other co-curricular activities and always participated in his school and college drama. His parents wanted Mohit to join a government job after completing his studies. Even However during his six months of internships, he realized that he is interested in drama, acting, and modeling. So he decided to become an actor and his journey thus started.
The beginning of his journey
He went to Delhi and met people for modeling work. He initially did a few shows and modeling for small-time designers. Then he joined the theatre with Kavita Bhardwaj’s drama group and did many dramas for two years. While doing his modeling assignments and shows, Mohit also started doing street dramas to explore his acting skills in parallel. However, to pursue his dreams of Acting further, he decided to go to Mumbai with the permission of his parents.
Mohit is very much fond of reading Hindi literature and loves to read about Manto and Premchand. He likes being fit so he regularly does exercise and be in shape.
Mohit always believes that family is his strength and is touched by their selfless love every time. He always welcomes the suggestions and advice of his forefathers as they have vast experience of life. Mohit has huge respect for his mom and dad. He strongly believes in having the consent of his family with their blessings and not doing anything that might hurt them.
Struggles and Hindrances
Mohit shifted to Mumbai on 3rd Jan 2016, and from then started his struggle as an actor. He worked hard and gave a lot of auditions with full dedication and seriousness. Finally, after 7 – 8 months of struggling, Mohit got his first break. During this time, he also worked on his acting skills. His first break was an advertisement for Naaptol products. After that, he did many ads, and finally, he got selected in one audition for a pivotal role. This was his first major break and got a chance to work in a movie called ‘Penalty’ with well-known actors like KK Menon and Shashank Arora. He did shooting for 40 days for the movie in Lucknow. The movie was released on the NETFLIX streaming platform in 2019 and got appreciated by the audience as well as critics. Thereafter, Mohit acted in many video songs and in short films. One of his short films ‘Gutargu’ was released on Hotstar and awarded in a couple of film festivals.
Mohit did many ads in the south industry. He did one ad with Akshay Kumar about the Hyundai car. He has done a fortune oils ad that was dedicated to all mothers and launched on mother’s day. He also did an ad on the Volkswagen car. Apart from ads, he did many music videos and songs too. He has worked with singer Payal Dev in one of his songs as an actor which was produced by Zee music.
Mohit spent 5 years in this industry and is very thankful to Mumbai for giving him good chances and opportunities. He also got to learn a lot by being in Mumbai. His family has always been supportive of him and is very proud of his achievements. His cousin Sandip who was already working in this industry also gave him all good support.
Mohit’s role model is the late actor Irfan khan. He was so much inspired by him and followed his acting very keenly. He is also very fond of actor Jaydeep Ahlawat and dreams to work with Jaydeep whenever possible.
What’s in the future?
Mohit is very hopeful to get more work in the film industry. He plans to enter the mainstream cinema and work with good directors and actors in the future. He wants to grow more in the next five years and do hard work by learning from other actors.
