DREAM BIG – DR ALPANA LABHUBHAI TRIVEDI

Dr. Alpana Labhubhai Trivedi– a true example of a dreamer, thinker, and doer aspiring to reach the highest peak of success!

Dr. Aplana Labhubhai Trivedi is a trustee of Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust since 1993. Under the banner of Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust, she is managing 27 educational institutes for preschool to graduation courses including engineering, commerce, and art colleges. She is managing and directing 27 educational institutes having 800 teachers and 18,000 students. She is recruiting new and able staff every year, a contribution towards employment perspective to society. 

Dr. Alpana Trivedi is also associated with LalBahadur Shashtri Kelavani Mandal, Rajkot and Mahalaxmi Foundation, Rajkot as a Trustee. These trusts are contributing to the empowerment of society across all levels. Dr. AlpanaTrivedi is also associated with BalBhavan, Rajkot. Bal Bhavan, Rajkot Trust managing Kids amusement park.  She is involved in organizing a competition for kids on a regular basis. Dr. AlpanaTrivedi is Vice President for Rajkot District and City, Bharat Scout Guide. 

She is associated with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Smarak Trust and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Trust, as a secretary. Exhibition for promoting life and thoughts of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Managing Library, Regular Health Treatments, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti Mahotsav are main activities of Sardar Patel Smarak Trust. While Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Trust is managing “Kaba Gandhi No Delo”. “Kaba Gandhi no Delo”, The home of Gandhiji during his school life.  The Gandhi Family came to live in Rajkot in November 1876 (when Karamchand Gandhi “ Kaba Gandhi” appointed as Administrator of Rajkot state) and stayed there till 1915.

The motivation behind choosing this field:

Her father Lt. Shri Labhubhai Trivedi is her ideal. Shri Labhubhai Trivedi has given his valuable service to Saurashtra University, while he served as a pro-vice-chancellor for many years. Shri Labhubhai Trivedi had been instrumental in building the foundation of the huge tree of the Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust and academic institutes that are flourishing and prospering under his blessing to this day. He had been a devoted man of service, promoting education and lighting the lamp of knowledge. He believed in simple living but thinking on a higher platform.   He had been a true Indian in every way. In 1987, Alpana got her father as a mentor and start working under his guidance for managing educational institutes of the Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust. 

In 1993, sadly Shri Labhubhai Trivedi passed away; subsequently, Dr. Alpana Trivedi joined Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust as a trustee. Since 1993 she is contributing towards the education field with the aim to provide quality education to all students equally.

Turning Point in life,

Initially, she was very shy and introvert person. She never looked forward to going to playschools.  She, later on, she went to a regular school. Her grandfather was Doctor and her dream was to become a doctor and work like her grandfather. However, her father asked her to select commerce not science for career options. She was disappointed at not having chosen science in order to pursue Medical. In hindsight she realized that her father’s decision was right. Her dream came true when she has completed her Ph.D.

Alpana enjoys playing table tennis, spending time with animals working for their care.   Trekking and visiting beaches are her passion.  She follows ideals set by Mahatma Gandhi and her father. Their philosophies are what she following in her life to achieve her goals and contribute her best. Her vision is to provide and develop academic opportunities, irrespective of their caste, creed or color.  During her meetings with eminent dignitaries from every industry, she takes back leanings and wisdom. Developing and maintaining contacts on an academic perspective, dreaming and aiming high and simultaneously working towards goals and to reach the pinnacle of success

Dr. Alpana Trivedi honored with many awards but she doesn’t believe in awards and promoting award achievement. She believes real achievements are to be proud alumni of great institutions and spreading happiness by contributing to society and changing lives.  This trust managed institutions have name names to be proud of including Cheteshwar Poojara.
