“Chandni” Sharma, what could be a more appropriate name for a die hard of the late and great actress, late Srideviji who starred in one of biggest films of her career, with the same name ‘Chandni‘. It was not a surprise for her Engineer father, mother and brother when this Engineer, wanted to pursue her dreams of becoming a movie star, just like her idol.
Chandni Sharma, hails from a small but dares to dream big. She started her modelling career at a young age of 22, she entered a beauty pageant, where the models were more experienced and more confident than her, yet this shy little rose bud, bloomed into a beautiful rose and won her first pageant. Since then, there has been looking back for her. After starting a successful modelling career, she landed her first big hug, when she was signed on as the main model lead in a Punjabi music video , ‘Nakhre Da Mull’, by the artist Gurpinder Panag. This 2018 debut, was her first step into the real world of showbiz. She started in a few more Punjabi music videos.
All the struggles bore fruit
Her hard work and determination during her modelling days in 2014, payed off in 2015 when she won the Indian Princess competition and the Dream Girl of the Year International 2015 in the Miss Tourism International competition.
Chandni, is best known for her role as ‘Ishani’, in the television serial, “Isha mein Marjawaan 2”. She even started in an internationally acclaimed movie “Darklight“, which focused on a young girl who runs away from a terrorist camp. Braving the harsh condition s for the real location shoots, The movie won international awards and accolades. This movie is yet to release in India.
Always an achiever
With luminous skin, she often faced criticism from casting agents, as the lights would often play havoc when focused on her. These rejectios however never deterred her, but strengthened her resolve to make it big in the film and television industry. It worked when she landed a role in the much honoured, television’s director and producer, Ekta Kapoor’s version of the Mahabharata. Chandni portrayed the role of Kripi and appeared in twenty episodes. This was the big break she was working hard towards. She even starred in the short film ‘Kalpvriksha‘. Her current television series “Isha mein Marjawaan 2” airs on Star plus and continues to shower her with luck and prosperity.
Following her passion
Just like her Idol Srideviji, Chandni loves Dancing, she even has a YouTube channel where she has uploaded quite a few of her dancing videos. Her huge fan following on YouTube and other social media platforms, shows how many hearts she has touched with her acting, dancing and even her beauty.
Chandni is often bitten by the travel bug, which has lead on numerous adventures in India and abroad especially in her Favorite city of Paris.
Just like any debutant, Chandini aspires to act opposite the Super star, Shah Rukh Khan.
