Bhavan was born in the year 1974 in the month of January with a tough financial condition of the family. Bhavan was born in a joint family. Immediately after a year, his family had to shift to Vadodara for a new venture of the Metallic Yarn Industry and the conversion of polyester film. They were commencing this business in the family partnership. So, it can be said that Bhavan was born with industrious nature in his blood.
After some years, he had a younger brother. His brother took birth in the year 1978. Immediately after a year to his birth his father once traveled to the USA and that turned out to be the expansion in his vision. He was formerly a visionary and an innovative person. Not only that, but he was also a hardworking human. He was trained at Meadowbrook Inventions Inc. for holography and Glitter Powder. Because of this, Bhavan was learning all these processes in his childhood only.
How his journey began to be an industrialist:
After completion of his Higher Secondary schooling, Bhavan started going to the factory at the age of 16 to learn something productive and gain more knowledge about industrial activities. Parallel to this, he was pursuing his graduation studies in commerce. And that made him learn about marketing and accounting concepts. After some period he turned out to be more sincere and more hardworking because of his father’s Cardiac Sickness. Not only this but he also faced hard days till the year 1997 because of the lean conditions of his industry.
Then they put up a new project of inflatable toy Balloon which turned successful after the effort and hard work of two years. Then, he attained directorship in Advance Syntex Private Limited in the year 1996.
Big loss and Second inning
When everything was on perfect on its way, one incident happened in the factory. The fire took place in the Factory. Then the family unanimously decided to wind up the balloon project and keep their eyes focused onto glitter business. The company was into making glitter and sell it in India as well as beyond the boundaries of India. They were exporting in a small way. The company then exported a glitter making plant from turkey to Columbia. Bhavan himself traveled to install the plant with engineers successfully. He then gradually started attending fairs in Europe to market glitter powder and was successful in his path. Then, in the year 2002/2003 the company got its automatic plant from Germany for making glitter powder and at the same time younger brother Devang joined the business. He joined the business after completing a textile engineering degree.
Not only Bhavan, but Devang was also equally hardworking and an intelligent person. With his efforts and beliefs, he multiplied the strength of the company. And then, both the brothers started making business on strong footing along with the guidance of his father. The business went on expanding to multi-fold. By the year 2007, a leap towards backward integration was taken by the brothers to save the cost of production and they also smoothen the coating requirements in many colors which was coming from no.of vendors. With this company moved to bigger premises i.e. POR GIDC from MAKARPURA GIDC. During this period, under the leadership of the company and guidance of their father an association of glitter powder manufacturers and traders was formed.
Achievements
The association under leadership Of Bhavan had successfully convinced the government of Gujarat to abolish Vat and tax on Vat which was exempted from zero. This boosted the morale of Bhavan and multiplied business to the manifold in the next 8 years. He won awards at Gujarat Vibrant, SME Forum, SME chamber, Skoch foundation and also got selected as one of India’s Small Giant by NDTV and SME Forum jointly. Looking at this journey it can be said that he has inherited all vision, innovation and analyzing ability from his father. He also tackles the problem and challenges in business jointly with brother Devang. He has the ambition to grow more in business while keeping family members involved. He has also taken a step to involve the public by an SME IPO on the BSE platform and desires to migrate to main board of BSE in the coming 3 years. His first message to the upcoming young generation is to focus on a goal and never deviate. Fight boldly for truth and keep others of trade for your fights against injustice and wrong tradition in any sphere of life. Have faith in God. Try to live simply and make all family members and friends your strength.
The success of the last two years is grabbing Business from The Michael Stores, USA of RS 15 crores plus, replacing Chinese competitors on merit. We are the only composite unit among the first 10 companies Internationally to have major processes of Vacuum metalizing, Epoxy coating, Manufacture of Epoxy resin and glitter making as well as small container packing Divison of International category with automation. This has put us a map of glitter export and leading in new product innovation and development.
